Included in the story is a crucial object that is used by one of the characters that should allow the audience to relate to the character. This is a photograph of the two characters before the destruction of their lives happened.
I posed the characters using the tools available. This allowed me to have a little play around with the facial blend shapes to get myself familiar with the process for when I come to animate the dialogue.
I found it quite confusing at first but with like everything, the more you experiment with it the more comfortable you get with it. I am glad I had this time to play with the blend shapes as it made things a bit easier to understand.
I then cropped the photo to make it look more like a professionally taken photo such as this one:
I wanted my characters to look like they aren't taking it very serious to show off the fun relationship that they have which will have a bigger impact on when tragic death of the female character occurs.
I then added some fold lines in a hurry to just get the effect down without spending too much time on it
This was quite a fun little task as it let me play with the tools I was goign to need to be familiar with when animating which was great.
