Apartment reference images

After a one to one with my tutor my initial apartment plans had to be re-defined as I had an image in my head of what I wanted it to look like but I didn't have any reference images of actual apartments in Leeds, this is important as its based in Leeds so the architecture and aesthetics need to be accurate.
I initially went on various estate agents that are letting apartments in the city centre.

These are reference images for the kitchen, they are appropriate due to their small size and décor. I figured the middle image was my preferred image due to its modern aesthetic and it also includes a table and chairs which will be included in my kitchen. this search has re-defined my approach to the designs of the apartment and the accuracy that I will be achieving.

The next section of images are for the living room, the apartment is open plan so its purely for reference.

There are various things that I realised through this search such as the windows for modern apartments, they aren't often simple box windows but more floor to ceiling ones, which I had to rectify in my designs

and here is an image of the outside of an apartment block

This was very useful as one of the scenes involves the outside of an apartment block so I needed some visual guidance as to how to model the set.

Doing these reference searches really re-enforces the importance of references as you see small aspects of the world that you would have other wise missed that are crucial to the believability of your virtual one, especially how I am going for a photo-realistic feel I need to take into account each individual aspect of the world from plug sockets to wires to buttons and switches. This will take a long time but will ultimately complete the believability of my animation.
