Due to the fact I wasn't too happy with the voices that were given to me by James I tried to contact Birmingham School of Acting in the hope that a group of individuals could give me a hand to create a bit more variety in the voice over. I was really lucky to have a group respond so eagerly! I managed to get the whole script recorded with several takes so I could choose the most fitting take.
This was very important to my project as I set out to create a story and create emotional characters. This would not have been achieved when you can tell its the same person voicing each character. The immersion factor drops dramatically. But as I intended to direct this animation with individuality in the characters this was a very important step to achieve this goal and I couldn't be happier with the voice overs I received. And I'm not trying to slate James because he did put a lot of effort into the work he did for me but to achieve my goals it had to be done.
